Lewis County Genealogical Society
The Lewis County Genealogical Society is located in Washington State. It was chartered on November 10, 1987, and is a non-profit organization. [photo: Downtown Centralia, circa 1950]
Purposes of the Society are Educational:
- To Promote an interest in genealogy.
- To Preserve private and public genealogical records.
- To Encourage and instruct in genealogical research.
- To Publish information of genealogical significance.

Cowlitz Timber Trails is halfway between Sesttle Washington and Portland Oregon off the I-5 corridor nestled in the woods on the Cowlitz River. Take Hwy 12 exit and head for White Pass, but stop in the quaint little town of Salkum to check out this private gated campgrounds.
There is over 460 acres total - with about 121 acres developed. The deer and other wild life roam freely right up to you, eating oats or whatever you offer out of your hands.
