The Colors of Fall Turn to Winter...

nature

Taken October 12, 2012 | The vivid colors of Fall are a welcome to my eye - I love taking photos this time of year. I was even lucky to capture Josh's Senior Photos (shown below) on a nice fall day. Now the leaves have all fell from the colorful trees to give way for Winter weather to settle in with freezing nights and a sprinkling of snow here and there.

apples

Taken November 19, 2011 | This little guy was munching on apples in the snow at my work. I brought the apples in as a treat - and the deer loved them!!

Josh | Graduation Photos

joshIt was a sunny fall day - so we quickly took some graduation photos of Josh down by the Mill Pond in Onalaska, hunting tree stand and the paved road.

He will be done with Running Start at Centralia College with his Welding degree Spring 2012.

We're so very proud of him!

Personally, I this creative view - wondering where the road to life will lead Josh...

Some of his future ideas include:

Welding in North Dakota & Alaska, after a road trip south to California to meet up with some online gaming friends.

Onalaska History

Mill Pond Onalaska

Nestled along the Lewis and Clark Trail, we are half-way between Seattle, WA and Portland, OR.

At one time Onalaska had the largest logging mill in the state.

The smokestack towers above the quiet little town, watching over the mill pond, where you catch a nice trout for dinner.

Onalaska, WA

The pace is slower in this quiet little country town. It's not too hard to find us. We are located halfway between Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon - off the I-5 corridor. East Lewis County is just a little ways past Bear Canyon (hwy 508) or Mayfield Lake (hwy 12). On a clear day Mt. St. Helens looms her awesome sight over our little town. Mt. Rainier is beautiful in the backdrop of many landscape pictures here. On your travels east towards the towns of Morton, Packwood and White Pass, you will be able to see Mt. Adams nestled behind Mt. St. Helens. Read more.
